The Frühphasenfonds Brandenburg, launched by InvestitionsBank des Landes Brandenburg (ILB) on behalf of the Brandenburg Ministry of Economics and managed by bmp, has invested a seven-figure sum in Rivalfox GmbH.
Since 2013 this Hennigsdorf-based company has been developing a browser-based software as a service (SaaS) solution that allows online marketing managers of companies to aggregate and analyse their competitors’ marketing activities and content.
Rivalfox aggregates marketing-related information from 16 different sources, such as social media, online ads, traffic and newsletters, and makes them available for further analysis in a central dashboard. In the process, Rivalfox analyses the data and helps the managers to identify the marketing channels that show the best performance.
Oleksandr Ivanov, founder and CEO of Rivalfox, comments: “Previously, marketing managers were only able to create inbound campaigns on the basis of their own assumptions and could not analyse and optimise them until they were already over. Rivalfox gathers relevant data on competitors and customers’ companies on an automated and ongoing basis. The data are aggregated in the form of a simple dashboard for further analysis. Whether it uses real-time updates of competitors’ KPIs, benchmarking or automated and individual reports and alerts, our solution helps our customers to recognise important measures taken by their competitors, identify current changes and trends in online marketing at an early stage and understand which marketing activities work best.”
“Our solution therefore comes into play at the beginning of the value chain and gives marketing managers the opportunity to make more analytical and proactive decisions on budgets and resources,” adds Anas Salem, also a founder and COO of Rivalfox. “We intend to use the funds we are now receiving to expand our Rivalfox SaaS technology and further strengthen our sales and marketing activities."
Rivalfox has already many satisfied customers and thus proven that there is demand for its product.
“The market for business intelligence solutions is growing rapidly. Rivalfox has a competitive SaaS solution on the market which it offers in a subscription model for between EUR 99.00 and EUR 399.00,” explains Dr Jan Alberti, the responsible investment manager at bmp. “Rivalfox has already convinced several customers, including international companies, of the added value offered by its tools and persuaded them to purchase a subscription. We are confident that we have invested the funds from the Frühphasenfonds in a company that will quickly deepen and broaden the scope of application of its product and can scale it globally.”
